I’m 6’6” and 250lbs  (a serious back injury once dropped me to 210, which felt more like 180 in spirit). I’m a devoted husband and father, an athletic coach to my daughter, and someone who lives for the outdoors — functional fitness, body surfing, soccer, frisbee, hiking and basically anything that doesn’t involve sitting still 😆. I’m an athlete at heart, a bit obsessive about nutrition, and I don’t do alcohol, smoking, or recreational drugs — and yes, that includes the legal ones you find in pharmacies. I no longer subscribe to western medicine (unless it’s really necessary) and I watch what I put in my body. Basically, I’ve built a lifestyle that gives my back the best fighting chance… because, trust me, my back has taught me who’s boss.

Like most people in pain, I started with what seemed like the best options.
